# How to earn Flying Blue miles: the complete guide

Last updated: 8 October 2026 - 15 min read - 11 earning methods with cost per mile - [View sources](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-earn-flying-blue-miles#sources>)

By [Remco de Graaf](<https://skystatus.pro/about>) Founder of SkyStatus, Flying Blue member since 2005, currently Ultimate. Also Managing Director and co-owner at Reshift Digital. Founder of Zoom.nl (120,000 users) and Zoom Academy (80,000 paying students). Experience includes at least 15 mileage runs and visits to at least 60 countries.

Most people earning Flying Blue miles count only their flights, and that is exactly why their balance grows so slowly. Your everyday spending and the partners you already use can outpace the seats you actually sit in. The real question is not whether you can collect miles but which route costs the least to earn one, because some methods are nearly free and others quietly burn money. This guide ranks every way to earn, with the cost per mile for each, so you stop guessing and start stacking the routes that pay off.

## Summary

You can earn Flying Blue miles in more than ten ways: **flying** with KLM or Air France (4 to 9 miles per euro), **credit cards** (Amex Platinum: 1.5 miles per euro), the **shopping portal**, **partner activities** (hotels, Uber, car rentals), **Subscribe to Miles** (from EUR 0.011/mile), **Revolut RevPoints** (1:1 transfer) and various **loyalty point conversions**. The most powerful combination is a Flying Blue Amex on all everyday spending paired with flights on KLM or Air France.

![SkyStatus Miles by source: Cards 59%, 1,075,510 miles at 0.051 ct per mile, Flights 7%, 131,879 miles, total 1,835,466 miles.](/guide/images/miles-by-source-202610.webp?v=7b2c55e39f4e668b)

Miles by source for one qualification year: cards brought in 59% of the miles at 0.051 ct each, flights only 7%. Every row shows what a mile from that channel cost.

![Flying Blue miles earning channels compared: flights earn 4-9 mi/EUR by status, Amex Platinum 1.5 mi/EUR, shopping portal up to 30 mi/EUR, Subscribe to Miles EUR 0.0125/mi, transfers EUR 0.008/mi with bonus](/guide/images/earning-channels-en.svg?v=39dca40608c90bde)

Comparison of all Flying Blue miles earning methods. Transfer partners with a 25% bonus offer the cheapest cost per mile at EUR 0.008, while flights offer the highest earning rate.

## Earning miles by flying

When you fly with KLM or Air France, you automatically earn miles based on the **ticket price** (the fare including the carrier surcharge, excluding other taxes). The higher your status level, the more miles you earn per euro.

| Status level | Miles per EUR 1 | Example: round trip AMS-JFK (EUR 600 fare incl. carrier surcharge) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Explorer (no status) | 4 miles | 2,400 miles |
| [Silver](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-status-levels>) | 6 miles | 3,600 miles |
| [Gold](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-gold-status>) | 7 miles | 4,200 miles |
| [Platinum](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-platinum-status>) | 8 miles | 4,800 miles |
| [Ultimate](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-ultimate-status>) | 9 miles | 5,400 miles |

Measured among SkyStatus members: paid flights earned a median of **6** miles per euro of the ticket price members recorded (4,577 flights by 287 members, October 2026). That median blends all status levels, so take your own rate from the table.

**Non-EUR tickets:** if you pay in a currency other than EUR, the amount is converted to EUR at the time of purchase. That EUR amount determines how many Miles you earn. (Source: Flying Blue FAQ)

![SkyStatus Flights, two 2026 Business trips at 90 XP each: Delhi, EUR 2,349, 20,190 miles. Tunis, 6 flights, EUR 690, 4,256 miles.](/guide/images/earn-miles-ticket-price-journeys-202610.webp?v=6ed96124d1dfd476)

Two Business trips that each earned 90 XP. The EUR 2,349 ticket to Delhi brought 20,190 miles, the EUR 690 ticket to Tunis only 4,256 over six flights: miles follow the ticket price, XP does not.

**Important:** miles are calculated on the fare including the carrier surcharge, not on the total amount with government taxes and airport charges. For a ticket priced at EUR 800 with EUR 200 in government taxes and airport charges, you earn miles on the remaining EUR 600.

### Partner flights

You also earn miles on flights with SkyTeam partners such as Delta, Korean Air and Kenya Airways. Your miles are the flight distance times the earning percentage of your booking class, and those percentages vary by partner. See the full list of earning percentages in our [guide to Flying Blue partner airlines](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-partner-airlines>).

**Note:** on Air France and KLM every fare earns miles, Basic included: miles follow the ticket price, 4 to 9 miles per euro by status. What Basic cuts is XP, a flat 2 XP per segment instead of the band XP. The exclusion risk sits with partner airlines, where the cheapest booking classes can earn reduced or no miles. Check the partner's earning table before booking.

**Tip: claim your miles right after the flight.** You do not have to wait for KLM or Air France to credit your miles automatically (that can take up to 72 hours). You can claim them directly after landing via the app or website. Partner flights may take a bit longer. [Retroactive claiming](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/claim-missing-flying-blue-miles>) is possible up to 6 months after the flight.

**One loyalty program per booking (art. 2.10):** According to the Flying Blue Terms & Conditions, you may only use **one loyalty program per reservation**. Once a booking is credited to Flying Blue (even with 0 miles or XP), it cannot be reversed to another program such as SkyMiles or EuroBonus. Always select Flying Blue as your frequent flyer program at the time of booking if you want the miles credited there. Source: Flying Blue Terms & Conditions, art. 2.10.

## Earning miles with credit cards

For most members, a Flying Blue American Express credit card is the most effective way to earn miles. You earn miles on every purchase, and card XP is the biggest non-flying [XP](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/what-is-flying-blue-xp>) source (SAF contributions, the Carte d'Abonnement and miles donation also credit XP). US residents have their own route: the Bank of America Air France KLM Visa Signature earns up to 160 XP a year.

| Card | Cost | Miles/EUR | Miles/EUR at KLM/AF/Hertz | XP/year |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Silver Card | 1st year free, then EUR 6.25/month | 0.8 | 1 | 15 |
| **Gold Card** | EUR 16.50/month | 1 | 1.5 | 30 |
| **Platinum Card** | EUR 55/month | 1.5 | 2 | 60 |

Source: American Express - Flying Blue miles overview and Experience Points page.

### Example: Gold Card at EUR 1,500/month spending

- Everyday spending: 1,500 x 1 mile = **1,500 miles/month**
- Per year: 18,000 miles (enough for an [Economy round trip within Europe](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-spend-flying-blue-miles>))
- Bonus: 30 XP per year (nearly a third of the [100 XP needed for Silver](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-status-levels>))
- Cost: EUR 198/year
- [miles value](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-miles-value>) at EUR 0.012/mile: roughly EUR 216

### Example: Platinum Card at EUR 2,000/month spending

- Everyday spending: 2,000 x 1.5 miles = **3,000 miles/month**
- Per year: 36,000 miles (enough for a transatlantic Economy one-way)
- Bonus: 60 XP per year (more than half of the 100 XP for Silver, or a third of [Gold](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-gold-status>))
- Cost: EUR 660/year
- [miles value](<https://skystatus.pro/calculator>) at EUR 0.012/mile: roughly EUR 432 (excluding XP value)

### Welcome bonus: your biggest miles boost

When you apply for a Flying Blue Amex you receive a **welcome bonus** that can double or triple your miles balance in one go. The exact bonus is personalized and appears on the application page:

- **Gold Card:** up to 25,000 miles welcome bonus
- **Platinum Card:** up to 70,000 miles welcome bonus

The welcome bonus is paid in two installments. Period 1 (months 1-6): make at least one purchase every month, and you receive 50% of the bonus in month 7. Period 2 (months 7-12): again make at least one purchase every month, and you receive the remaining 50% in month 13. The two periods are evaluated independently; miss any month within a period and you forfeit the bonus for that entire period. Your card must be active at the time of payout. This makes the upgrade strategy (start with Gold, then upgrade to Platinum) especially valuable: you receive two bonuses instead of one.

**Pro tip:** the XP bonus from a co-branded card is the biggest non-flying XP source. With the Platinum Card (60 XP/year) and two round trips within Europe you have enough XP for [Silver status](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-status-levels>).

### Referral program: bonus for you and your friend

If you already have a Flying Blue Amex, you can refer friends via the **Amex referral program**. Both you and the applicant receive a bonus (typically 5,000-10,000 miles). You can find your personal referral link in the Amex app under "Refer a Friend". This is a free way to earn extra miles, especially if you convince multiple people around you.

![Flying Blue statement showing American Express Platinum Card earning 82,651 miles in a single transaction](/guide/images/fb-statement-amex-platinum-upgrade-82k-miles.webp?v=5a660d0bdf3b408e)

Single Amex Platinum statement: 82,651 miles earned in one month (July 2025).

**Author's real experience:** This single American Express Platinum Card statement delivered 82,651 miles. Credit card spending is by far the fastest way to grow your miles balance. With the Amex Platinum earning 1 mile per EUR spent on everyday purchases and bonus miles on travel, a high-spending month like this can rival months of flying. This is why I consider the Amex card the most important miles-earning tool outside of actual flights.

## Earning miles via the shopping portal

Flying Blue offers a [shopping portal](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/everyday>) that lets you earn extra miles on online purchases. You shop via the portal at well-known brands and earn miles on top of your regular credit card miles.

### How it works

- Log in to your Flying Blue account
- Go to the shopping portal
- Click through to the online store of your choice
- Complete your purchase as usual
- miles are automatically credited (may take a few weeks)

On your first purchase through the portal you receive a welcome bonus of **500 miles**. Earning rates vary by partner. Here are the current rates from popular retailers:

| Online store | Miles per EUR 10 | Effective miles/EUR |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Adidas** | 44 | 4.4 |
| **GetYourGuide** | 44 | 4.4 |
| **ASOS** | up to 40 | 4.0 |
| **Dyson** | 31 | 3.1 |
| **Nike Store** | up to 22 | 2.2 |
| **Sephora** | 22 | 2.2 |
| **Apple** | 18 | 1.8 |
| **Booking.com** | 18 | 1.8 |

Rates are variable and subject to change. Source: [Flying Blue Earn Online portal](<https://earnonline.flyingblue.com/en/>), February 2026.

**Double dipping:** if you order through the shopping portal and pay with your Flying Blue Amex, you earn both the shopping portal miles and the credit card miles. A EUR 100 purchase at Nike (2.2 miles/EUR) then earns 220 portal miles plus 100 to 150 credit card miles.

## Earning miles via partners

### Hotels

Flying Blue partners with several hotel chains. **Booking.com** earns **2 miles per euro** on hotel bookings plus at least 15% discount on selected hotels. Source: [Flying Blue - Booking.com](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/partners/hotel-booking-com>).

**Accor Live Limitless (ALL)** offers a unique miles+Points program. When you link your Flying Blue and ALL accounts, you earn **both** Accor Reward Points and Flying Blue miles on every hotel stay (roughly 1 mile per EUR 10 spent). This applies to all Accor brands: ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman, Sofitel and more. You can also transfer accumulated ALL points to Flying Blue miles (see [transfer partners](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-earn-flying-blue-miles#transfer>)). Source: [Accor - Flying Blue partnership](<https://all.accor.com/loyalty-program/partners/airfranceklm/index.en.shtml>).

### Car rental

Flying Blue has partnerships with ten car rental companies. You earn miles on your rental booking by entering your Flying Blue number at reservation.

| Partner | Earning rate (indicative) |
| --- | --- |
| Hertz | 6 miles/EUR (regular), 12 miles/EUR (electric) |
| Avis | 4 miles/EUR (regular), 5 miles/EUR (electric) |
| Budget, Europcar, Sixt | Varies per booking |
| Enterprise, Dollar, Thrifty, Free2move, Hertz DriveU | Varies per booking |

Exact earning rates vary by partner, country and promotion period. Always check the current rates on the [Flying Blue partners page](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/everyday>).

### Uber (Netherlands and France)

In the Netherlands and France you earn **1 mile per euro** on Uber rides. Take 4 or more rides per month and this increases to 2 miles per euro. Link your Flying Blue account to Uber via the [Flying Blue partner page](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/partners/car-rental-uber>). Source: [KLM - Uber miles partnership](<https://www.klm.nl/en/information/flying-blue/earning-miles/uber>).

## Subscribe to Miles

[Subscribe to Miles](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/mileshub/subscription>) is a monthly subscription that lets you [purchase miles](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/should-you-buy-flying-blue-miles>) at a fixed price. It is not earning in the traditional sense, but it offers the lowest [cost per mile](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-cost-per-mile>) compared to standard miles purchases.

| Tier | Price/month | Miles/month | Cost/mile |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | EUR 28 | 2,000 | EUR 0.014 |
| Smart | EUR 65 | 5,000 | EUR 0.013 |
| Advanced | EUR 120 | 10,000 | EUR 0.012 |
| **Complete** | **EUR 187** | **17,000** | **EUR 0.011** |
| **Complete+** | **EUR 330** | **30,000** | **EUR 0.011** |

- **Best deal:** Complete and Complete+ (added in October 2026), both at EUR 0.011 per mile, cheaper than any promotional miles purchase
- **Minimum commitment:** 3 months, then cancel monthly. Cooling-off period: 14 days
- **Crediting:** miles are credited within 72 hours after sign-up, then monthly
- **No XP:** Subscribe to Miles does not earn XP for status
- **Note:** from May 4, 2026, a Subscribe to Miles credit counts as an activity that extends your entire miles balance by 24 months

Read the full analysis, including when it makes sense, in our [guide to Flying Blue subscriptions](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-subscription>).

**Note:** Subscribe to Miles does not earn XP. You cannot build [status](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-status-levels>) through this subscription. If you want XP without flying, a [credit card](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-earn-flying-blue-miles#credit-cards>) is the biggest source; [SAF contributions](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-saf-contribution-xp>) and miles donation credit XP too.

## Transfer and conversion partners

For points held with Chase in the United States, the [Chase to Flying Blue transfer guide](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/chase-to-flying-blue-transfer>) covers the specific transfer process.

Besides earning miles directly, you can also convert points from other programs into Flying Blue miles. There are three major [transfer partners](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-transfer-partners>) to consider.

Measured among SkyStatus members: transfers in from a bank, card or hotel program are rare. Fewer than one in twenty members who imported their Flying Blue statements have made one (18 members with such a transfer, October 2026).

### Amex Membership Rewards

If you hold a regular Amex card with Membership Rewards, you can transfer MR points to Flying Blue. The ratio differs per market (1:1 in the US): check the Membership Rewards portal for your country before transferring.

**Transfer bonuses:** In the US, Amex runs 20-25% transfer bonuses to Flying Blue several times a year, tracked in our [live transfer bonus tracker](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-transfer-bonuses>). European Amex programs do not run these promotions.

**Important:** if you have a Flying Blue Amex card (Gold or Platinum), you earn miles directly on your spending. No transfer is needed and the MR transfer ratio does not apply. Transfer is relevant if you hold a regular Amex with Membership Rewards. Those cards typically offer bigger welcome bonuses and travel perks, but no XP. You can hold both cards simultaneously.

### Revolut RevPoints (1:1 ratio)

[Revolut](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/partners/financial-services-revolut>) offers a transfer of [RevPoints to Flying Blue miles](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/revolut-revpoints-flying-blue>) at a **1:1 ratio**: 1,000 RevPoints = 1,000 Flying Blue miles. You earn RevPoints on every payment with Revolut (the amount depends on your Revolut subscription). This is a relatively new transfer partner that is especially interesting if you already use Revolut daily.

### Accor ALL Reward Points (2:1 ratio)

Accor Live Limitless (ALL) Reward Points can be transferred to Flying Blue: **2,000 ALL points = 1,000 Flying Blue miles**. Accor also regularly offers transfer bonuses (15 to 30% extra). Source: [Accor - Flying Blue partnership](<https://all.accor.com/loyalty-program/partners/airfranceklm/index.en.shtml>).

| Transfer partner | Ratio | Details |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Amex Membership Rewards | Differs per market | Bonuses in the US only |
| Revolut RevPoints | 1:1 (1,000 RP = 1,000 miles) | No transfer bonus known |
| Accor ALL Reward Points | 2:1 (2,000 pts = 1,000 miles) | Regular 15-30% transfer bonus |

### Flying Blue Family: sharing miles with your household

With [Flying Blue Family](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-family-account>) you can share miles within your household. You add up to 7 members and pool your miles balances. This is especially powerful when multiple family members have an Amex: everyone's miles flow into a shared balance, allowing you to book an [award ticket](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-spend-flying-blue-miles>) faster.

**Family tip:** Flying Blue Family is completely free, whatever your status: no setup fee, no annual fee and no fee per transfer. The paid miles transfer outside a Family costs EUR 3 per 250 miles. More in our [Flying Blue Family guide](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-family-account>).

Measured among SkyStatus members: **21.6%** of members who imported their statements have moved miles within a Flying Blue Family pool (195 of 901 members, October 2026).

## Keeping your miles active

Flying Blue miles expire after **24 months without activity** on your account. Any activity that earns or costs miles resets the clock completely. Source: Amex - miles validity.

### Activities that reset the clock

- A flight on KLM, Air France or a SkyTeam partner
- A purchase with your Flying Blue Amex credit card
- Earning miles via the shopping portal
- Spending miles on an award ticket
- Earning miles via a partner (hotel, car rental)

**Good news for status holders:** members with Silver status or higher do not need to worry. As long as you hold elite status, [your miles do not expire](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-miles-expiration>). Only when you lose your status does the 24-month clock start. Source: [flyingblue.com](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/miles>).

**Easiest way to keep miles active:** do you have a Flying Blue Amex? Then your miles never expire: holders of a Flying Blue co-branded credit card are exempt from miles expiration.

### Measured: where members' miles actually come from

Flying Blue reads like a frequent flyer program, but the imported statements of SkyStatus members tell a different story: **the median member earns 59% of miles on the ground; 56.1% of members are ground-dominant**. Weighting every member equally, flying delivers about half of the mix: equal-weight earn mix: flying 50.5%, credit cards 26.3%, other partners 15.3%, subscriptions 2.9%, transfers 2.9%, hotels 2.2%. Card earning is widespread: 61.4% of imported members (553 of 901) have Amex earn lines in their statements. If you only earn when you board a plane, you are using a fraction of the program.

_SkyStatus member data, October 2026, based on the earning history of 1,038 members. Our members are self-selected optimizers, not a random sample of Flying Blue members._

## Strategy: maximizing your earnings

### All earning methods compared

| Method | Earning rate | Cost/mile | XP? |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Flying (KLM/AF) | 4-9 miles/EUR | EUR 0 (free) | Yes |
| Amex Platinum Card | 1.5 miles/EUR | ~EUR 0.002 | 60 XP/year |
| Amex Gold Card | 1 mile/EUR | ~EUR 0.002 | 30 XP/year |
| Shopping portal | 1-5 miles/EUR | EUR 0 (free) | No |
| Booking.com hotels | 2 miles/EUR | EUR 0 (free) | No |
| Uber (NL) | 1-2 miles/EUR | EUR 0 (free) | No |
| Subscribe to Miles | 2,000-30,000/month | EUR 0.011-0.014 | No |
| Revolut RevPoints | 1:1 transfer | Varies | No |
| Accor ALL (dual-earning) | ~1 mile/EUR 10 | EUR 0 (free) | No |
| Hertz car rental | 6-12 miles/EUR | EUR 0 (free) | No |

### Optimizing everyday spending

Most miles are earned not in the air but on the ground. Here is how to make every euro count:

| Spending category | Best approach | Miles/EUR |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Online shopping | Shopping portal + Amex | 2.0-7.0 |
| Uber rides | Amex as payment method + [FB-Uber link](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-earn-flying-blue-miles#partners>) | 2.5-3.5 |
| Hotels | Booking.com via FB partner + Amex | 3.0-3.5 |
| General spending | Pay with Amex | 1.0-1.5 |
| Subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify) | Pay with Amex | 1.0-1.5 |

### The 7 rules for maximum miles

1. **Use an Amex on everything:** the Platinum Card (1.5 miles/EUR) or Gold Card (1 mile/EUR) on all your everyday spending. This is the foundation of your miles strategy.
2. **Pay at KLM/AF with your Amex:** you get a higher earning rate (2 miles/EUR with Platinum) plus flight miles on top of the credit card miles.
3. **Shop via the portal:** for online purchases, always click through the Flying Blue shopping portal first for extra miles on top of your credit card miles.
4. **Always book with your FB number:** do not forget to enter your Flying Blue number when booking flights, hotels and car rentals.
5. **Wait for transfer bonuses:** if you have MR points, wait for a 20 to 25% bonus before transferring to Flying Blue.
6. **Use Subscribe to Miles selectively:** only if you have a specific miles shortfall for a [booking](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/how-to-spend-flying-blue-miles>). Do not subscribe speculatively.
7. **Combine earning channels:** a flight booked via your Amex earns flight miles AND credit card miles. A hotel stay booked through an FB partner and paid with Amex earns partner miles AND credit card miles.

![SkyStatus Miles ledger, September 2026: Amex Platinum, Air France-KLM spend +16,876 and card spend +6,326 next to three KLM flights.](/guide/images/miles-ledger-september-202610.webp?v=9bd10088487d0b71)

September 2026 in the Miles ledger: three KLM flights earned their own miles, while the Amex Platinum came in as two lines, 16,876 miles for Air France-KLM spend and 6,326 for everyday card spend.

### Example strategy: 60,000 miles in 12 months

Goal: enough miles for a [transatlantic Business Class one-way](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-miles-value>) (60,000 miles saver fare).

- Amex Platinum Card at EUR 2,000/month: **36,000 miles**
- 2 European round trips (EUR 300 fare incl. carrier surcharge, Platinum status): roughly **4,800 miles**
- 1 intercontinental round trip (EUR 800 fare incl. carrier surcharge): roughly **6,400 miles**
- Shopping portal (EUR 3,000/year online spending, average 2 miles/EUR): **6,000 miles**
- Car rental and hotels: roughly **2,000 miles**
- **Total: roughly 55,200 miles** - almost enough. The Amex welcome bonus more than makes up the difference.

## Frequently asked questions

How many miles do you earn per flight with Flying Blue?

On Air France and KLM flights, Flying Blue members earn miles based on the ticket price (the fare including the carrier surcharge, excluding other taxes). Explorer members receive 4 miles per euro, Silver 6, Gold 7, Platinum 8 and Ultimate 9 miles per euro. A round trip Amsterdam-New York costing EUR 600 in fare and carrier surcharge earns an Explorer roughly 2,400 miles.

Can you earn Flying Blue miles without flying?

Yes. Most miles are earned on the ground. With a Flying Blue Amex credit card you earn 0.8 to 1.5 miles per euro on everyday spending. There is also the Flying Blue shopping portal, hotel partners like Accor and car rental partners like Hertz. [Subscribe to Miles](<https://skystatus.pro/guide/flying-blue-subscription>) lets you purchase miles monthly at a discount.

Which credit card earns the most Flying Blue miles?

The Flying Blue American Express Platinum Card earns the most miles: 1.5 miles per euro on everyday spending and 2 miles per euro at KLM, Air France and Hertz. You also receive 60 XP per year for status qualification. The card costs EUR 55 per month. The Gold Card (EUR 16.50/month) offers 1 mile per euro and 30 XP per year.

When do Flying Blue miles expire?

Flying Blue miles expire after 24 months without activity on your account. Any activity that earns miles (a flight or a credit card purchase) resets the 24-month clock. Spending miles does not. Members with elite status (Silver or higher) do not need to worry: their miles do not expire as long as they hold status. Holders of a Flying Blue co-branded credit card are exempt too.

Can I convert loyalty points to Flying Blue miles?

Yes. [Several transfer partners](<https://skystatus.pro/tools/transfer-partners>) allow you to convert points to Flying Blue miles. Amex Membership Rewards transfers at a market-dependent ratio (1:1 in the US). Revolut RevPoints transfer 1:1 (1,000 RevPoints = 1,000 miles). Accor ALL Reward Points transfer at 2:1 (2,000 points = 1,000 miles). Wait for transfer bonuses (20-25% extra) when possible.

How do I earn miles with Revolut RevPoints?

If you use Revolut, you earn RevPoints on every payment. You can transfer them to Flying Blue miles at a **1:1 ratio** (1,000 RevPoints = 1,000 miles). Link your accounts via the [Flying Blue - Revolut partner page](<https://www.flyingblue.com/en/earn/partners/financial-services-revolut>). The number of RevPoints you earn per payment depends on your Revolut subscription plan.
