How is Flying Blue XP calculated?
XP depend on the flight type (distance band), the cabin and, on AF/KL Economy, the fare family. Each segment earns a fixed amount of XP based on the distance band and cabin; Basic fares earn a flat 2 XP per segment and Flex fares add +2 XP and +2 UXP per segment (not on domestic). This tool uses the current Flying Blue earning table.
Does buying miles earn XP?
No. Purchased miles earn 0 XP. Only flights, plus a few non-flight levers (the SAF contribution, Flying Blue Extra and some co-branded cards), earn XP.
What is the difference between XP and UXP?
XP qualify you for Silver, Gold and Platinum. UXP (Ultimate XP) are counted separately toward Ultimate status.
